Dear Dr. Emilie Salomons,
When I first started treatment at Acubalance, I had just had a miscarriage at
16 weeks and I was devastated.
After many years of trying for a family naturally and not conceiving my husband and I decided to try fertility treatments . Following 6 unsuccessful IUI procedures and 1 unsuccessful IVF we were emotionally and financially drained.
My Acubalance journey started in May 2013. My periods had been extremely painful since my early 20s and were getting more unbearable every year. My husband and I were still struggling to conceive after more than 2 years of actively trying. At 38, I knew our chances of ever having a baby were diminishing. By chance, I saw an announcement on Facebook for a workshop on improving egg quality and fertility presented by Lorne, and convinced my husband to attend with me. Everything we heard at that talk made sense and filled us with hope.
My journey with Acubalance began in early May of 2014. My husband and I were having difficulty conceiving our 2nd child. I was 41 years old, and recently diagnosed with high FSH / early perimenopause. Shortly after that diagnosis from my GP, I had my telephone consultation with Dr.
Our son Heath turned one year old yesterday. Of course, as with most milestones, we were reflecting on our past year with Heath and our journey to get there.
I just want to express our thanks again for helping us get pregnant.
Heath is such a joy in our life and I don't think it would've happened if you hadn't identified my body's needs so comprehensively. We really appreciated your kindness and expertise.
All our best,
When my husband and I decided to have another baby, we assumed it would be easy, as it had only taken one month to get pregnant with our first. And it was, until we miscarried at about five or six weeks along. After the miscarriage we actively tried for a year and a half without success. We were lost, and felt discouraged. Our Dr.’s were of little help, and although we had been referred to a gynecologist, we got no-where. Our Doctors said we just needed to try longer.
Today I would like to share my story with all the women who have gone thru or are experiencing what I have been through in my life. I call this my journey of infertility. It all began 5 years ago when I was diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 34. It started with a small ache in my pelvic region and some back pain, which progressively got worse. My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for almost a year and were never aware that something was wrong. I underwent multip
Over a year ago I experienced a devastating miscarriage at almost 19 weeks. After months of testing to see if there was a reason behind the loss I was told nothing was wrong, these things happen and I was finally cleared to try to get pregnant again. In my gut, though, I didn't feel that I had healed and I was terrified that I would experience another loss if I did get pregnant.
