Pain Relief during labour
Acupressure is a safe, natural, and effective way to manage the discomforts of labour. It has been proven to be just as effective -- if not more so -- as acupuncture during labour. With acupressure:
- Birth partners can start stimulating the points early in labour, stimulating the release of endorphins.
- The procedure can be applied in all the birthing positions and even in water.
- There is something to be said about the power of human touch; it is calming, reassuring, and healing.
