Free childbirth acupressure training video- Supporting childbirth in the time of isolation.

Childbirth is one of the ultimate times in our life, where we must surrender to our body's innate ability to do what it was created to do. Currently however, we no longer have access to all of the support we normally would have during our births. Because of this, I decided to create a video to help teach anyone pregnant and their birth partners, how to support a smooth and healthy childbirth with acupressure. This video teaches acupressure points to help encourage the body's optimal response during labour, to help with pain management and to promote an efficient labour and recovery.

Please do not start practicing these techniques until you are at least 36 weeks pregnant.

Bonus birth tip:   Make the best of your environment.

The environment in which the birth occurs can have a huge impact on how that process unfolds. Dim lights, a subjective feeling of safety, adequate hydration and the ability to move around to comfortable positions are ways in which someone can support their nervous and hormonal systems to allow the body to 'get into the mood' of birth, trigger oxytocin release and help the natural progression of labour.

Whether you are at home or in the hospital, in full quarantine, or just practicing moderate isolation measures, doing whatever you can to bring these qualities to your birth can be the key to still having a positive birth experience.
