There are 7 private adoption agencys in BC. You must go thru one of them to adopt.

2. Choices Adoption (Victoria,BC 1 888 479 9811)
3. The Adoption Centre (Kelowna,BC 1 800 935 4237)
4. Sunrise (Vancouver,BC 1 888 984 2488)
5. Family Services of Greater Vancouver (1 866 582 3678)
6. Ministry of Children and Family Developement
7. Latter Day Saints have their own private adoption if you belong to the church.

Just phone these agencies and they will send full information packets to their address. Many of our patients recommend to anyone who is thinking of adoption to drop by the Adoptive Families Association of British Columbia office (AFABC). They are located at 7342 Winston street, Burnaby (604 320 7350). They run a class re all the above options and we found it very informative. The staff in the office are wonderful and they have a full library of information.
